GST Invoice Automation

Prepare monthly CAMS & KFintech GST invoice-upload Excels. Free to use — your files are processed in memory and never stored. Enter your own firm's GST & broker details below.

Step 1 — Generate upload Excels
Upload the CAMS consolidated PDF, the new monthly KFin Excel, and all KFin AMC-wise PDFs. You get the CAMS upload Excel, the KFin pre-signing Excel, and a signing map.
Step 2 — Finalize after signing
After signing, stamping and scanning the KFin PDFs, upload the Step 1 KFin Excel, the signing-map CSV (both from the Step 1 ZIP), and the signed scans. Name scans in the same order as the CSV (e.g. 01_, 02_).

How it works

Each month a GST-registered distributor invoices the AMCs for the commission they paid. CAMS and KFintech collect those invoices through their portals, each in its own format. This tool turns the statements they give you into the files their portals take, so you are not retyping invoice lines into Excel.

  1. 1. Download your statements

Get the month's consolidated PDF from CAMS, and the monthly Excel plus the AMC-wise invoice PDFs from KFintech.

  2. 2. Generate the upload files (Step 1)

Enter your GSTIN, ARN, invoice prefix, financial year and the next invoice number, then upload the three sets of files. You get one ZIP with the CAMS upload Excel, a KFin Excel to use before signing, and a signing map (CSV).

  3. 3. Sign the KFin invoices

Print, sign, stamp and scan the KFin PDFs in the order listed in the signing map. Prefix the scans 01_, 02_ and so on so they match the CSV.

  4. 4. Finalise (Step 2)

Upload the Step 1 KFin Excel, the signing map and the signed scans. You get the final KFin upload Excel and the scans renamed to match it, ready to upload on the KFintech portal.

What you need before you start

  • Your firm's GSTIN and ARN, exactly as registered with CAMS and KFintech.
  • Your invoice prefix, the financial year (for example 26-27) and the next unused invoice number in your series.
  • The month's consolidated commission statement PDF from CAMS.
  • The month's commission Excel from KFintech, plus every AMC-wise invoice PDF it issued for you.
  • Access to a printer and scanner for the KFintech invoices, which must be signed and stamped.

CAMS vs KFintech GST invoicing

Both registrars collect commission invoices from distributors, but they ask for different inputs. That is why this tool has one step for CAMS and two for KFintech.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Restarting the invoice series

Invoice numbers must continue from last month. Enter the next unused number as the starting number, not 1, unless a new financial year has begun.

  • Scans out of order

Step 2 matches signed scans to invoices using the signing map. Prefix scans 01_, 02_ and so on in the exact order the CSV lists them.

  • Missing AMC-wise PDFs

Select every KFintech AMC PDF for the month in Step 1. An AMC left out will be missing from the upload Excel.

  • Uploading without checking

Compare totals in the generated Excels against your CAMS and KFintech statements before you upload. The tool reformats your data; it does not audit it.

Questions

Who is this tool for?
Mutual fund distributors registered under GST who raise monthly commission invoices through CAMS and KFintech. You do not need a Dhan Saarthi account to use it.
Does Dhan Saarthi keep my files?
No. Files are processed in memory to build the ZIP you download and are not stored. Nothing is linked to an account.
How are invoice numbers assigned?
Invoices are numbered in sequence from the starting number you enter, using your prefix and financial year, so you can continue the series you already use.
What does "Include CAMS invoices below ₹1 taxable value" do?
CAMS statements can list invoices with a taxable value under ₹1. They are left out of the upload Excel by default; tick the box to keep them.
Why do mutual fund distributors raise GST invoices to AMCs?
Commission an AMC pays a GST-registered distributor is a taxable supply of service, so the distributor issues a tax invoice for it. CAMS and KFintech collect these invoices on behalf of the AMCs they service, each through its own portal and file format.
Can I use this every month?
Yes. Run it each month with that month's statements and the next starting invoice number. It does not remember anything between runs, so keep your own record of the last number used.
Does this file my GST return?
No. It only prepares the invoice-upload files for the CAMS and KFintech portals. Check the figures before you upload, and speak to your tax adviser about filing.
